Visiting Fulbrighter Support Fund
The Visiting Fulbrighter Support Fund intends to build a stronger sense of community for visiting Fulbright Scholars and Students at Duke and create new opportunities for engagement between Fulbrighters and Duke faculty and staff. Permanent Duke faculty and staff may apply for funds to cover the cost of meals, social outings, and other events that engage visiting Fulbrighters.
Award Details
Permanent Duke faculty and staff may apply for funds of up to $200 per social event/outing. Most awards will be made in the $50 -100 range. Funds will be provided as a reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses. Awardees must provide itemized receipts in order to be reimbursed for funds spent.
Deadline
Applications for funding will be accepted between September 1st, 2023 and April 1st, 2024 on a rolling basis.
Eligibility
Permanent Duke faculty and staff are eligible to apply for funds. Social events must involve at least one visiting international Fulbright scholar or student.
Application Requirements
Using the form below, applicants must submit a brief (one paragraph) description of the intended social event, including names of the visiting Fulbrighters who will attend and a rough event budget.
