The Office of Global Affairs is the locus of planning and coordination for Duke’s global activities. It works with the university’s senior leadership, schools and institutes to foster collaborative global efforts, advance internationalization on campus and generate awarenes of Duke's global activities within and beyond the Duke community.
Reporting jointly to the university President and Provost, the Office of Global Affairs is responsible for refining and articulating the university's global vision, and for developing new global programs in support of the global vision. OGA supports Duke's faculty and students by coordinating initiatives and activities centered on global education, research and engagement.
The office coordinates and enhances:
- Internal dialogue and planning for Duke’s global activities, including their impact on the Durham campus.
- Communications with deans and senior officers of the university.
- Relationship building with global partners, including universities and funding agencies.
- Documentation and tracking of global activities across campus.
The office is advised by the faculty-led Global Priorities Committee.
