Australia is a popular destination for Duke students and faculty members. It acts as a lab for the Duke community to explore ecology, biology, marine conservation and climate change.

The Duke in Australia study abroad program lets students explore the continent, from the Blue Mountains to the Great Barrier Reef.

This region is also focus of many Duke research projects and faculty labs. One example is the Johnston Lab on humpback whale conservation.
