Education and Research Innovations in China (ERIC)

Pilot funding is available from Duke’s Office of Duke Kunshan University Programs to help faculty develop innovative education and research programs at Duke Kunshan University and throughout China. Proposed projects may include other Chinese higher education institutions, but should have a strong focus on Duke Kunshan.

For the current round of proposals, the office is particularly soliciting projects related to the development of the four-year undergraduate program at DKU. Especially welcome are proposals that focus on: health and environment issues in China, innovation, big data, US-China relations, higher education, and contemporary Chinese art and literature.

Priority will be given to education and research projects that demonstrate potential for long-term impact at Duke Kunshan and promote collaborations between Duke and the DKU campus.

Regular rank faculty members and groups of faculty may apply. Collaborators are not required to be regular rank faculty. A list of previously funded ERIC projects is available here. Proposal guidelines, review criteria and frequently asked questions are available here.

Please direct questions and submit proposals as a single PDF, with cover sheet on top, to Irina Adams.
