Outside of the United States, India has the largest presence of the Duke community, with over 60 faculty across 30 research projects and activities, 500 student projects and internships, and nearly 700 alumni.
A substantial portion of this work occurs in the health sector. Much of this work is channeled through Duke centers and institutes – Duke Global Health Institute, Duke Global Health Innovation Center, Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, Center for Policy Impact and Global Health, Sanford Center for Public Policy, and the Duke Center for International Development.
In light of Duke University’s deep connections to the health sector in India, Duke University will hold a multi-day inaugural forum in December 2018 focused on Health Innovation, Policy, and Research.
This event will convene and engage nearly 100 national and state regulatory officials and policymakers, international research and development organizations, national and international health corporations, investors and homegrown health entrepreneurs.
