Duke Student Passport Fund

Duke Student Passport Fund

The Office of Global Affairs’ Student Passport Fund helps Duke students with limited financial resources access international education opportunities by assisting with passport-related expenses. Duke students may apply to this fund to cover their passport application and execution fees.

Award Details

Funds will be provided as a reimbursement for out-of-pocket passport application expenses. Awardees must provide receipts to be reimbursed for funds spent. Reimbursements from this fund will only be made for expenses accrued after the student’s application for funding is approved.

Deadline

Applications for funding will be accepted on a rolling basis between January 31st and April 15th, 2023.

Eligibility

Full-time Duke students are eligible to apply for funds.

This fund is intended to minimize the financial burden of securing a passport for students who may not otherwise be able to afford the passport application fee.

Application Requirements

Using the form below, applicants must submit the following:

  • A brief (one paragraph) description of why a new passport (or renewal) is needed
  • A list of passport-related expenses for which the student requests support (application fees, execution fees, postage, etc.)
