Alumna Nadia Ford Wins National Fellowship for Service-Minded Work in Laos

Ford has won a Princeton in Asia Fellowship for the academic year 2019-2020 to teach English in Laos at Vientiane College.

Duke alumna Nadia Ford, Class of 2019, has won a Princeton in Asia Fellowship for the academic year 2019-2020 to teach English in Laos at Vientiane College.

Ford is from Del Rio, Texas and graduated in May 2019 with a degree in psychology and a minor in education.

The Princeton In Asia fellowships have been placing service-minded recent graduates in partner organizations in Asia since 1898 with the goal of using these immersive work experiences to transform perspectives, cultivate long-lasting relationships and benefit local and global communities. Princeton in Asia seeks to place approximately 145 fellows a year into service-oriented fellowships in 22 countries and regions across Asia.

Duke students and alums can receive support for opportunities like the Princeton in Asia fellowships from the Nationally Competitive Scholarships team at the Office of University Scholars and Fellows.
